Over the past few posts, I’ve talked about some of the ideas that shaped A.R.C.H.

I’ve written about why I keep gravitating towards investigation games, what I look for when designing timeline anomalies, how I ended up with a system-neutral RPG and the thinking behind the Protector specialisations.

Today, I’m pleased to finally share the first public release for the setting.

A.R.C.H. — Core Operations is now available as a free download.

Seeing the first public release after spending years developing the setting feels a little surreal. Although the current version differs considerably from my earliest ideas, the central concept has remained remarkably consistent: investigating disruptions to history and deciding what should be done about them.

If you’d like to learn more about the setting or try your first investigation, you can download Core Operations from the product page below.

You can also download it from itch.io if you prefer.

As always, feedback is welcome.
